Here I will tell you about the facilities in Kambang Iwak Park in Palembang. I went to Kambang Iwak Park with my friends. We go around on a leisurely walk while circling Kambang Iwak park. During our trip around Kambang Iwak, we saw a lot of seeing some facilities, snacks, communities, families and many others found in the Kambang Iwak park in the afternoon. Before I explained some of the facilities contained in the Kambang Iwak park, I will briefly explain about this Kambang Iwak park.

Kambang Iwak Park or commonly also called KI Park is a city park located in Palembang, and is a favorite place for local residents to spend time with family, friends, or other communities. The presence of Kambang Iwak Park in the middle of Palembang City makes it a thirst reliever amid the boisterous and tired daily activities. So that this park is never empty of visitors even though corona is currently sweeping Indonesia.

Kambang Iwak Park is a public facility, so there is no specific time limit regarding its opening hours. The park is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Likewise with the park entrance ticket, we do not need to spend money to pay for the entrance ticket of Kambang Iwak Park.

Kambang Iwak comes from the local language which means Fish Pond, because indeed the lake in the middle of this park is also functioned as a fish pond. Many visitors come to visit Kambang Iwak Park to relax and enjoy the beauty of the park with the shade of the trees. Not only that, there are also many public facilities provided from the Kambang Iwak park. Here are some of the things I took, among others:

• Casual Seating

There are plenty of relaxing seats in every meter of Kambang Iwak park. So, it is possible to accommodate a lot of people where this Kambang Iwak park is a public facility that can be enjoyed by everyone. This seat is commonly used by many people who want to relax, rest after jogging, eating and drinking and its many functions. This is one of the reasons why Kambang Iwak park is the best recreation place for me.

• Children's Playground

It is not wrong to call Kambang Iwak park is a family recreation park. Because not only for teenagers and adults jogging but also there is a children's playground. There has a variety of toys that can be played by children such as painting, toy cars, slides, and others. Children will definitely feel at home when playing with shady trees.

• Park

In Kambang Iwak park, there is also another park where this park is a suitable place for couples who are looking for a place to sit back together. With beautiful lake views, shady trees, and the cool air make couples comfortable to relax for a long time. I highly recommend this place to couples out there who are still confused about finding a comfortable place to relax together and this is based on my own experience LOL. 

• Gazebo

Many may not know what a gazebo is. Gazebo is one of the facilities with open spaces as an alternative place to gather and do casual activities with other family members, many also call saung because it is used for casual places. The key is the natural atmosphere, familiarity, comfort and beauty. And yes no wonder why Kambang Iwak park is a comfortable place with several gazebos that have been provided.

• Sports Equipment

Not only jogging track, Sports equipment is certainly also provided in this Kambang Iwak park. Which is where maybe some people are bored to jog, they can use this sports equipment facility while enjoying the beautiful lake scenery and cool air. Based on my experience yesterday, the sports equipment can still be used and nothing is damaged.

• Bridge Across The Lake

This bridge is what I like most about this Kambang Iwak park because this is the place for those of us who like photos. In the middle of the bridge has been provided a place for people to take photos with a beautiful view with tall trees and beautiful sky. Not only that, there is a very beautiful fountain for photographers if you want to take aesthetic photos and people who understand with a suitable angle to take pictures with the background of the fountain. This bridge is in the middle of the park which makes it easier for us if we want to go from one place to another in the Kambang Iwak park. 

• Market

For people who like culinary with many facilities obtained, this is the place. A lot is sold on every edge of this Kambang Iwak park. A variety of food, drinks, clothing, internet quotas, and others. Most of the sold are snack foods and cold drinks because they are suitable for people who may already be tired and feel hungry or thirsty after jogging.

There are still many found in this Kambang Iwak park such as around Kambang Iwak park there are Starbucks, Swarna Dwipa hotel, Family Boarding House, KFC and others. This place has become a lot of choice by many people, especially the people of palembang city area. Exercise, jogging, relaxing and culinary can all be enjoyed in this Kambang Iwak park.
